Accreditation

Students have the opportunity to achieve nationally recognised Entry level qualifications. They are entered for Awards, Certificates and Diplomas at Entry Level and Level 1. Students complete Foundation Learning units on OCR’s Entry Level Life and Living Skills. These are credit based qualifications which provide individuals with the opportunity to develop skills and gain underpinning knowledge and understanding.

Vocational Skills and Functional Skills are also accredited by OCR on their National Skills Profile and Accreditation for Life and Living schemes.

Harding House accreditation results are excellent and our portfolios of evidence, resources and internal moderation processes are used as examples of good practise for other centres to illustrate good practice.

If students have credits from previous learning, these can be submitted towards further qualifications. Other validating bodies and schemes may be used if more appropriate to need.

All students’ work is internally moderated and then externally accredited and certificated by OCR These certificates are included in students’ Records of Achievement folders and CDs.

Please ask if you would like full information about the course content and assessment.

Our Work Experience placements are arranged and certificated by the Education Business and Partnership. Students are entered for the Bucks Work Experience Award at Bronze, Silver or Gold levels.

Our Duke of Edinburgh Award achievements are validated on the national D of E scheme, with students usually completing the Expedition, Service and Skills sections at Bronze or Silver Levels.

Students also have the opportunity to receive accredited certificates from other agencies to record achievement e.g. Rebound Therapy, Horsewyse, Soundabout etc.
